"Bella" DOB est 11-02-04 - Black female Bella was rescued from a high-kill NY shelter in November. She had contracted respiratory disease in the shelter which, untreated, developed into very contagious lower respiratory infection that required 6 weeks in quarantine/medication/recuperation before spay surgery (pix were taken soon after spay surgery, disclose shaved abdomen). Bella is now healthy, spayed, gentle, very intelligent and eager to please. Vets have conflicting opinion on age - shelter vet suggested she is 2yrs old but LILRR vets believe she is about 1 yr of age. She learned 'sit' very quickly and is walking more comfortably on leash. Bella is average size and would likely benefit having a 'sibling' Lab to emulate. |
