Raised by family with children, Boomer could not live with them any longer and entered LILRR at 9 months and overweight by 15 lbs.    Placed on an appropriate nutrition and feeding schedule, he is closer to the more desirable range of 80-85 lbs.   Boomer is a large, healthy, active, intelligent, affectionate Labrador Retriever that comes with a strong WARNING label when being leash walked: without formative leash work and obedience training, this extremely powerful and independent Lab will suddenly bolt when walking on leash and the handler's focus must be on Boomer as well as anticipating what is around them, ahead of them and around the corner!  Boomer will require adults with serious interest, time and ability to provide concentrated effort to obedience training on leash.
