Buddy B's Story

Champ - DOB 02/10/05 - Yellow Male - Neutered

Purchased in NYC, the adorable Lab pup was later unwanted and dumped in a Long Island dog pound.  Adopted from the pound by family who could not cope with responsibilities of a pup on top of caring for several young children.  Instead of returning to pound, Champ entered LILRR.

October 2005 - Champ is adopted and renamed Buddy...

November 2005

Buddy was discovered to have Epilepsy after adoption, his first seizure occurring less than 2 months after placement.   Adopters love him and their vets have him stabilized on meds.  For Thanksgiving 2005, the Bud catches part of the game before bath time and wrapped up the day with sweet dreams surely filled with lots of love and turkey...

Come back later for updates on the very happy and loved Buddy!
