"Coco"

|
Chocolate Female - DOB 05/18/01 entered LILRR 04/07/02 Coco’s family discovered she has bilateral hip dysplasia and $9,000 surgery was recommended (click here to read details of efforts and recommendations provided at time of her entry into LILRR). Her family did not want to take on the responsibility and Coco's breeder refused to help or take the pup back (to keep or rehome). Once in LILRR, she was placed on a more nutritional diet and exercise program. During the past 1.5 years in foster, Coco has grown into her hips and easily keeps up with, out-runs and out-distances young Labs with healthy hips! Dogs with dysplasia should never be bred (she is spayed) and, as the old saying goes ... ‘dogs don’t walk on x-rays’. |
