Chocolate Female

She and Dylan (see Dylan) were purchased for breeding and lived in pens behind a Long Island machine shop until their owner purchased a weekend home and no one was available or cared enough to go to the business (closed on weekends) to feed or water them.  After having one litter, they were going to be put into a kill shelter if LILRR would not accept them into our program.  Entering coated with thick machine oil, their coats and skin were NASTY (entry pix will be added soon) but, with soothing medicated baths and daily grooming, are polishing up like the jewels they are!  Both Labs were socialized with employees out of pens during work hours and both Labs are incredibly sweet and loving.  Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and worming, she was easy to house break and gets along just fine playing and socializing with other Labs.  She's doing well with leash work and has very nice house manners.  Cocoa is wonderful with people, good with cats (ignores them even when laying side by side) and is possessive of her food with other dogs (not humans).
