"Doc"
October 2003

|
DOB est. 8 yrs - Yellow Male Doc was rescued from a Long Island municipal (kill) animal shelter after owner did not claim him and no one adopted him. At sometime in his former life, his tail had been shortened - not cropped - and shelter volunteers gave him the nickname "Doc", which he happily responds to. "Legally blind", he can see movement and light/shadows and often sits intently watching fish swim in lighted fish tank. Good on leash, he learns terrain (indoors and out) very quickly and traverse stairs with ease. When rescued, Doc (now recovered) suffered severe inner infections and painful blistering of both ears. This 70 lb. gentleman is a pleasure to live with - gentle, happy, easy going, good with other Labs and house broken. He enjoys snuggling on the sofa and leash walks in falling snow. |
