Rescued from kill shelter

(pics left to right) Hershey hides at stairs;

Hershey w/booda rope; Hershey & Otter playing w/booda rope.

Hershey settled in nicely with the foster family and other Labs, male

and female.  We expect this very smart teddy bear to top 100 lbs as

healthy adult and is ready for adoption.  Hershey is a gentle giant.

Playful but mellow - he and Otter have

become best friends (a Mutt & Jeff pair!).  House broken and

healthy, Hershey is diagnosed having very tiny cataracts in both

eyes which do not impair his vision and should not grow larger.

Many healthy sighted dogs have cataracts!!

Hershey Is Adopted

"Hershey" with his handsome new brother "Bubba" & family

August Update:

Hershey is doing GREAT!  He loves the beach, he swam for hours this morning with Bubba.   They are some pair.  He is a great swimmer and loves the water.

We bought them a kiddie pool and he stands in it when it's hot. He and Bubba play king of the pool.

He is such a mellow, cuddly, sweet, big teddy bear.  He loves to snuggle in the bed in the morning, he jumps up and walks right on top of me and lays between us and goes back to sleep for a while.  We love him so much, so does everyone who meets him.  Bubba never leaves his side, he worships his big brother.  Next week he is going on vacation.  He's very excited about it.

I hope you and all the labs are going great.  Hershey sends greetings to you all.

Take care.
