DOB est. 5 yrs - Black Female

This sweetheart was lactating (breasts were full of milk) when rescued from a Long Island municipal (kill) animal shelter.  X-rays determined she was not pregnant.  The x-rays also showed several shotgun pellets lodged in her abdominal region!  Spayed, the pellets were left as they are lodged in places that are non-threatening to organs or painful in movement.  Around 70 lbs. and healthy, her breast milk has dried and breasts are reducing back to normal.  Katie is house broken, playful, happy and super with people and other Labs. She is equally at home with both large and small dogs. She loves taking walks and playing outdoors and is happy to curl up indoors by the fire.
