Tar

(excerpt from February 23, 2003 LILRR website guest book): I flew from LGA to VA same time as CT rescue rep and driver flew from CT to VA where the three of us were met at the Norfolk airport by the breeder who drove us to a motel for the night and then to his property the next day where I was knee deep in the muck getting as many Labs out & loaded for transport as possible. Our transport home was met in NY at 5am by SPCA (and LILRR volunteer) to help me and one Lab (Tar) off the truck and home safely after the exhausting endeavor. CT rescue and driver drove on to disperse the remaining dogs to various rescues in the upstate area. One week later 6 LILRR volunteers went back to VA. I also made this trip, as did the LILRR coordinator. Twenty Suffolk VA Labs have entered Long Island Labrador Retriever Rescue and are under going necessary medical treatments.
